ELITE: Describe your leadership style?
FF: My style of leadership is to build the process first with the player and team. To manage the team and build a clear process. Construct all aspects: mental, tactical, and physical. And then we must transform this into action. As we coaches are on the backstage, I prefer to be in the shadows. However, my style is to set the example with all my actions, to be physically disciplined and emotionally stable.
ELITE: How do you best communicate with your players?
FF: I am trying to do more with actions and less with words. Also, understanding the right moment for discussions. Yes, we can talk over a couple of things right after the match, but for a deeper discussion, I prefer to wait a while after the match and far from emotions. I like to measure my words carefully, and then watch video and use data analytics rather than a long post-match feedback. That allows me to be more precise and accurate with my words.
